Overview
DMap β "digital map" β is where the project's drawings live on your phone. It is the module you open to look up a DMap on site, take it with you offline, see every defect as a pin at its exact position, and record a new defect by tapping the spot on the DMap.
The DMap List
Open Tools β DMaps to get the project's DMaps as a single-column card list, arranged in collapsible groups with a title and a count on each.
Offline Downloads
A DMap you have downloaded opens with no signal at all β image, pins and, depending on the mode, the issue content behind each pin. This is the capability the web version has no need for, and the one worth doing before you leave for site.
Viewing a DMap
Tapping a card opens the DMap full screen, with its issues as pins.
Pins on the DMap
Every pin on a DMap stands for one issue, placed at the position where the problem is.
Capturing a Defect
This is what the module is for: you are standing in front of the problem, so you point at it on the DMap and photograph it. The issue is created for you, already carrying its position.
Filtering Pins
A busy DMap can carry dozens of pins. The Filter pins button in the floating header opens a bottom sheet that narrows them down; a dot on the button reminds you when a filter is on.
Working Offline & Sync
DMap uses the same offline machinery as the Issue module β a local cache plus a send queue β so a DMap you took with you behaves the same way an issue does: you keep working, and the app catches up later.
Web β Mobile Differences
Mobile DMap and the web DMap module work on the same DMaps and the same pins. Mobile adds the thing the web does not need β taking the DMap with you β and leaves some management work on the desktop.
