AECIS Documentation

Welcome to the user documentation for AECIS — construction project control software for the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry.

This guide walks you through each module of the AECIS web application with step-by-step instructions and screenshots taken from the live product, and covers the mobile app for work on site.

Available guides​

  • Submittal Module — submit documents (shop drawings, specs, method statements…) for formal review, track dispositions (Approved / Rejected / For Info), and manage the revision chain.
  • Issue Module — record, assign, track, and resolve issues that arise on site: technical defects, NCRs, remedial items, and points to watch.
  • DMap Module — register engineering drawings and see every linked issue as a color-coded pin at its exact location on the drawing.
  • Milestone Module — plan and track the project schedule on a Gantt chart: hierarchy, dependencies, critical path, baselines, and Excel/PDF/MPP export.
  • Dashboard Module — an at-a-glance overview of project health: KPI tiles, status charts with drill-through, RFI/NCR summaries, and the milestone timeline.
  • DTag Module — manage the project's hierarchical location/category tag tree used to position and filter issues and submittals.
  • Package Module — manage the project's work packages used to group and filter records by scope.

Mobile app​

  • Issue Module (Mobile) — create, track, action, and comment on issues from your phone on site, including with no signal: card list, camera capture, drawing pins, and an offline queue that syncs automatically.
  • DMap Module (Mobile) — browse the project's DMaps, download them for offline use, see every defect as a status-colored pin, and capture a new one by tapping the spot on the DMap.
